hey Guitarist,
Did you know that in the 1700s,
certain musical intervals
were actually BANNED by the Church?
Talk about political correctness,
sheesh... HAHAA..
But i guess these guys had a point,
some of the intervals do sound "evil".
They called the tritone interval
the Diabolus in Musica , or
"the devil in music".
(I have a funny story about
the devil that happened during
a gig I played many years ago,
but I'll save that for another email)
Anyway, about that tritone interval,
it sounds much more funky than evil
when it's part of a minor6 chord,
and you can use that chord to
create amazing sounding funky guitar
rhythms.
That's what today's video clip is
all about, as Matt Heulitt demonstrates
in a sample from his upcoming DVD course
called "The Complete Guitarist".
This is definitely one of the best "funky rhythm"
guitar lesson I've ever seen:
FUNKY RHYTHMS LESSON
